Sustainability at the Porsche Teilevertriebszentrum
For the Porsche Parts Distribution Centre (TVZ), sustainability means integrating environmental, economic, and social considerations into our daily business operations. We take these factors into account when making decisions and continuously improve our processes to ensure the responsible use of resources and the efficient consumption of energy.
As part of our environmental and energy management systems, we implement measures aimed at improving our environmental and energy performance. The effectiveness of these measures is reviewed on a regular basis. Our management systems are certified according to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management).
Our goal is to act responsibly over the long term while creating a safe, modern, and attractive working environment for our employees.
Our Focus Areas
Energy Efficiency
The operation of the TVZ requires energy and other resources. Therefore, we implement measures to increase energy efficiency and continuously analyze energy consumption to identify and realize optimization potential.
Part of our electricity demand is covered by the photovoltaic system installed at our site. In addition, we source electricity from renewable energy sources in accordance with our energy supply agreement. Any electricity not used directly on-site is fed into the public power grid.
Responsible Use of Resources
The conscious use of materials and resources is an important part of our operational processes. Through structured procedures and the careful use of materials, we support efficient operations and help avoid unnecessary waste.
In addition, the TVZ plays a central role in the collection and return of used parts and selected waste streams from the Austrian market. These include, among others, aluminum scrap and used batteries, which can be processed for further recovery and reuse.
Circular Economy and Recycling
As a logistics hub for original parts and accessories, the TVZ consolidates returns from 18 markets. These returns are transported through existing logistics networks wherever possible, helping to avoid additional transport movements.
Furthermore, a structured process has been established to selectively return spare parts inventories with declining demand from international warehouses. This enables existing stock to remain in use for longer and helps reduce the disposal of fully functional spare parts wherever possible.
Genuine Exchange Parts Programme
The refurbishment and reuse of selected vehicle components allow existing materials to remain in circulation for longer. The Original Exchange Parts Programme supports the responsible management of components throughout their lifecycle.
